The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is America’s most famous motorcycle event. Hundreds of thousands of classic and modern bike owners cruise into Sturgis
every August for an experience they’ll never forget. Rally visitors will discover unmatched convenience at Sturgis RV Park, since we’re located within
easy walking distance (or a free shuttle ride) to downtown Sturgis. After a day of biking in the scenic Black Hills, it’s reassuring to know that you
can park your bike at your campsite where it is safe and secure, then experience the attractions and nightlife of nearby downtown Sturgis.
The Sturgis Rally is the ideal meeting ground to ride, rally and party. A rich variety of scenic byways and historic destinations provide endless biking
adventures for rally visitors. During the rally, historic Sturgis swells from its normal population of 6,500 to several hundred thousand motorcycle
enthusiasts from around the country and the world. The city of Sturgis welcomes visitors with an abundance of food, big name entertainment and
Midwestern hospitality.
About 600,000 bikers and other visitors attended the 70th annual rally in 2010…quite a change from the event begun in 1938 by the Jackpine Gypsies
Motorcycle Club with the help of J.C. "Pappy" Hoel, owner of a local motorcycle shop.
Make plans now to attend the 72nd annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Aug. 3-12, 2012. Sturgis RV Park offers 2012 rally-goers the option of reserving
a site for 10 days (Aug. 3-12) or reserving a site for one of two 5-day alternatives (Aug. 3-7 and Aug. 8-12).
